Even though we're living in a post-pandemic world, culture continues to encourage social distancing. More and more stores utilize self-checkout, many restaurants are set up for less interaction with employees, and customer service calls are increasingly automated. Social media interaction is done from a distance and emboldens a lack of civility. But life is meant to be lived in connection with others.
