The God who made everything has spoken to us. God has revealed Himself to us through His Word. The Holy Spirit continues to speak to us through His Word. Scripture is our supreme and sufficient authority for life. As we understand His Word, God speaks to us through prayer. And He makes application of what He has said in the context of our life circumstances. Then He confirms what He has said through the ministry of His church.
When God speaks, He simultaneously invites us to join Him on His agenda. He does not merely desire for us to know more about Him. He wants us to become intimately acquainted with Him, His purposes, and His ways. With every encounter, He facilitates our knowledge and experience of Him. Our obedience to Him flows from grace-enabled transformation; it propels us onto mission with Him.
